Upstairs dining is a must. Booked a table upstairs for a business lunch. The interior is quaint and absolutely beautiful, like you've stepped back in time. The upstairs area is small, so reservations are key unless you want to eat downstairs in the pub which is noisier and with a more limited menu. I ordered the grilled cauliflower sausages, braised green lentils, roasted sweet potato & butternut squash which was tasty and satisfying. As our table had a long wait for our food (due to a large table being served first), our waitress gave us all a free round of drinks. Lovely customer service, excellent food and great atmosphere.
I visited this pub today for lunch with a work colleague and discovered a lovely cosy and intimate upstairs restaurant in a quaint old city pub. The food is simple British fare but decent portions and reasonably priced for central London. The service was prompt and efficient. I had a simple pate and watercress starter and my colleague the soup. Both were good. I had an excellent liver and bacon main course with a rustic mash - all hot and very tasty. My colleague had the chicken. Overall a very good first experience - I will be back !

A olde pub serving great beers in the heart of the city. This place is tucked away down a alleyway but worth hunting for. The staff are friendly and the décor has character, Well worth a visit.

A gem of a pub. Down an old lane with Georgian houses. £2.05 for a half pint ain't too bad.
